About the Wildlife In Need Center

Our Future Brings New Growth

The Wildlife In Need Center is entering an exciting phase of growth and development in the coming months.  With the increased demand for wildlife rehabilitation and quality community education we have outgrown our current facility.

Welcome to the new Wildlife Treatment and Community Center.  It will feature 7000 sq. feet of specially designed work space specifically for wildlife rehabilitation and education. One wing will contain the secured clinic area with volunteer space. The other wing will be open to the public and will feature our educational animals and conference room for on site educational programs.

Additional special building features will include:

  • 1.Single story design for ease of use for all volunteers including accommodations for disabled visitors, volunteer, and staff.
  • An enhanced rehab area including separate rooms for individual species, easy access caging areas, and more convenient cleaning and prep areas.
  • Public areas for viewing of baby bird and infant mammal feedings.
  • Display areas for all of our resident animals with indoor/outdoor caging.
  • An educational/training room for programs, volunteer training, and meetings.
  • An outdoor learning theater.
  • A LEED certified building to maximize site conservation and minimize our impact on the environment.

With your help to reach our goal of $1,500,000.00, the Wildlife in Need Center with soar to new heights.  Opportunities for naming rights are currently available for a number of areas and programs at the new facility.  These one-time sponsorships provide a unique way to see the benefit of your contribution grow well into the future.  All facility and program related sponsorships will be acknowledged with a custom sign specifying each respective area or program for the center.  Contact our executive director Michael Guzniczak at mguzniczak@helpingwildlife.org for details or to set up a meeting.
